European Tour 2010

Tour of Europe 2010: Saturday 29th May to Monday 31st May, Siena, Italy; Friday 4th June to Sunday 6th June, Rab, Croatia.; Friday 11th June to Sunday 13th June, Prague, Czech Republic

Participants may attend one, two or all three of these workshops. There will be one free day on June 1st to visit Siena and Tuscany to see the beautiful countyside and wine country. Then we travel to Rab together by a shared rental car, with a stop in Venice. Or we may go by train/bus and hydro-foil ship, depending on how many people, etc. We'll spend two days in the beautiful island of Rab or near by ancient towns after their workshop before head to Prague, most likely from Italy or by train from Croatia. Arrive in Prague on Wednesday or Thursday, which will give us a day to see this beautiful city.

Tour of Europe 2010 in detail

Siena Italy --- Starts Friday May 28th, to June 2nd 2010.: Friday Evening, 28th --- Public Demonstrations and Talk by Master Alex Dong and Students.; Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th --- Class in the morning and afternoon. Main focus will on Slow Form corrections and basic Push Hands. There will be some practice of others forms.; Monday 31st --- Corrections on more advanced forms, forms may vary depending on attendee.; Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd --- Tour the Siena and Tuscany area.; Thursday 3rd --- Travel day to Croatia.
Rab Island, Croatia --- June 4th to June 8th 2010.: Friday 4th to Sunday 6th --- Focus will be on Slow Form. Advanced students will have the opportunity to work on advanced forms and Push Hands.; Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th --- Tour the Island and nearby ancient towns or just hang out at the almost private beaches, parks and relax.; Wednesday 9th --- Travel day to Prague, Czech Republic.
Prague, Czech Republic --- Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th.: Thursday 10th and Friday 1ith --- Free time - Students can visit one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It's easy to get to and around on your own.; Friday Evening, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th --- Taiji Workshop. Slow set, Push Hands, Fa-jin form, Sword (jian) form; Sunday Evening --- A river ride and drinks on a Jazz boat. End of tour.

Cost

Local costs

Other costs include airfare, food, accommodations, tours, etc.

Italy --- price include: 6 nights, 6 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 3 dinners, pick up in Siena. €300 triple occupancy (only four rooms can have 3 people) or €350 for double occupancy.

Accommodation in Rab last year was about $45 double occupancy, including 3 meals. "Bed and breakfast" in Prague near the workshop cost about $33-$52 double occupancy per night - only 30 minutes from the center by train. Travel to Rab and Prague are estimated at €200 - other tours are optional.
